Chef Murti’s food philosophy is all about finding balance: “Love what you eat and be what you eat to live a longer and healthy life. Every meal should not only meet the needs of your body but also your mind, heart and soul.”


With 40 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, Chef Murti is a well-respected and highly motivated culinary expert that has led several culinary teams from world-renowned hospitality organisations. This includes being the champion of International Salon Culinaire in Switzerland and the second runner-up for 2 years in the World Cup Culinary at Luxembourg, Germany. Chef Murti also actively stays connected with chefs of hotels in Singapore and Singapore Chefs’ Association. He is one of the judges for Food and Hotel Asia.

Giving Back

Chef Murti helms a team of 11 at Novotel Singapore on Stevens and Mercure Singapore on Stevens. As a veteran chef and with a huge passion for culinary, Chef Murti is committed and strongly believes that chefs need to be leaders and not dictators. He strives to groom the next generation of chefs, bring culinary standards to better heights and address food waste concerns.
